Privacy Policy

Information you give us. When you apply as a driver, join as a carrier company, request drivers, or contact us, we collect what you enter in the form — typically your name, email address, phone number, home city and state, licence and authority details, equipment and lane preferences, and anything you write in a message.

Documents you upload. Carriers, drivers and owner-operators upload compliance documents such as insurance certificates, operating authority, CDLs and medical cards. These are stored so our moderators can verify them and so we can tell you when they are due to expire.

Information collected automatically. Our servers record standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.

We use strictly necessary cookies only. They keep you signed in, remember your language, and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. The site cannot function without them, so they are always set.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or other tracking cookies, and we set no third-party cookies. If that ever changes, the cookie bar at the bottom of the page lets you accept or refuse the non-essential ones, and your choice is remembered. We also honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as a refusal without asking.

We use it to operate the marketplace: to review and verify applications and documents, to match carriers with drivers and owner-operators, to arrange and coordinate vehicle transport, to notify you about offers, partnerships, payments and expiring documents, to improve the platform, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Milestone acts as an intermediary. Carriers, drivers and owner-operators are shown to each other under a placeholder until Milestone has placed them together — that is, until a partnership exists between them. Once you are working together, each side sees the other in full, including the contact details needed to run the freight. Our moderators can see all information at all times in order to vet and match participants.

We share information only where it is needed: with the carrier, driver or owner-operator you are matched with, with the customer whose vehicles are being moved where that is necessary for pickup and delivery, with service providers who operate our systems on our behalf (such as hosting, storage, email and mapping providers), and where the law requires it.

All traffic to this site is encrypted with TLS. Uploaded documents are scanned for malware and stored in access-restricted storage. Access is limited to personnel who need it to do their work.

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. You can update much of your own profile directly in your portal. Depending on where you live, applicable state privacy laws may give you additional rights, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share it.

This platform is intended for commercial drivers and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
