Milestone Carriers Cookie and Tracking Policy
Public pages and authenticated portal. Effective date: September 18, 2026
1. What This Policy Covers
This Cookie and Tracking Policy explains how Milestone Brokers LLC (“Milestone,” “we,” “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the public pages of milestonecarriers.us and in the authenticated Milestone Carriers portal. The Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information generally. This Policy describes the technologies used to collect some of that information and the choices available to you. Where the two overlap, this Policy governs tracking technologies.
2. Public Pages and Portal Are Treated Differently
Public pages. Anyone may browse. Strictly necessary technologies operate. Optional categories, where used, are subject to the choices in Sections 6 and 7. Authenticated portal. Access requires an Account. Technologies here are predominantly strictly necessary or functional, because they exist to keep you signed in, protect the session, prevent fraud and operate features you have asked for. We do not use advertising technologies inside the authenticated portal.
3. Technologies We Use
“Cookie” in this Policy means a cookie and any similar technology that stores or reads information on your device or identifies your browser or session, including local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, software development kits, device identifiers and server-side logging tied to a browser or device identifier.
4. Categories
4.1 Strictly necessary
Required. Cannot be switched off. Purpose: authentication and session management; security, including protection against cross-site request forgery, credential stuffing and automated abuse; load balancing; fraud prevention; recording your tracking preferences; and core form and file-upload functionality. Data involved: session identifiers, security tokens, authentication state, coarse routing and preference values. Character: first-party, and third-party only where a security or infrastructure provider is used. Duration: generally the browser session, and up to twelve months for preference and security values. Your choice: none. Disabling these makes the Platform inoperable. Your browser can block them, but sign-in, uploads and security features will fail.
4.2 Functional
Optional. Purpose: remembering language, region, display, table and filter preferences; retaining non-essential interface state; and supporting optional convenience features. Data involved: preference values and non-identifying interface state. Character: predominantly first-party. Duration: typically the session to twelve months. Your choice: you may decline. The Platform continues to work; you may need to set preferences more often.
4.3 Analytics
Optional. Purpose: understanding which pages and features are used, diagnosing errors, measuring performance, and improving the Platform. Data involved: pages viewed, feature interactions, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, timestamps and error data. Character: first-party and third-party. Duration: varies by provider; see the table in Section 5. Your choice: you may decline. Declining does not affect any Platform function, your Qualification, Load visibility or payment.
4.4 Advertising and marketing
Optional. Purpose: measuring campaigns and, where used, delivering or measuring marketing about Milestone Carriers. Data involved: campaign identifiers, referral information, conversion events and advertising identifiers. Character: predominantly third-party. Duration: varies by provider; see the table in Section 5. Your choice: you may decline. Declining does not affect any Platform function, your Qualification, Load visibility or payment. We do not use advertising technologies inside the authenticated portal.
4.5 Other tracking technologies
Where used, this category covers technologies that do not fit the categories above, such as embedded media players and support or chat widgets. Each is disclosed in the table in Section 5 and is assigned to the category matching its actual purpose. We do not use session-replay, keystroke-logging or screen-recording technologies. If we later adopt one, we will update this Policy and provide the choices applicable law requires before it operates.
5. Technology Inventory
The table below is populated from a scan of the production site and portal and is updated when technologies change. We do not list a technology we do not use. Name · Provider · First or third party · Category · Purpose · Duration · Data Strictly necessary Functional Analytics Advertising Other
6. Your Choices
Preference centre. Use the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer of every page to set functional, analytics and advertising categories at any time. Strictly necessary technologies are always active. Opt-out preference signals. We honor a recognized browser-level opt-out preference signal, including Global Privacy Control, as a valid opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, for every visitor, without regard to the state in which the visitor is located. Where such a signal is present, we suppress optional advertising technologies before any banner is displayed and regardless of any earlier choice recorded for that browser. Browser controls. Your browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and core features from working. Marketing communications. Email, text message and telephone marketing choices are separate from tracking choices and are governed by the Electronic Communications and E-Sign Consent.
7. Consent Banner and Preference Centre
7.1 First-layer banner
Your Privacy Choices We use necessary technologies to operate, secure and provide Milestone Carriers. With your choice, we may also use functional, analytics and advertising technologies to remember preferences, understand use and measure campaigns. [ Accept all ] [ Reject non-essential ] [ Manage choices ] Cookie Policy · Privacy Policy · Your Privacy Choices Accept and Reject are presented as equally prominent controls at the same level, in the same style and size. Reject is never placed behind an additional click, a smaller control or a secondary screen.
7.2 Preference centre
Category: Strictly necessary. Control: Always active. Cannot be disabled Category: Functional. Control: Toggle Category: Analytics. Control: Toggle Category: Advertising and marketing. Control: Toggle The center provides Save choices, restates the category descriptions in Section 4, and links to this Policy and the Privacy Policy.
7.3 Defaults
Optional categories follow the default that applicable law requires for the visitor. Where prior choice is required before an optional technology may operate, that technology does not operate until the choice is given. Where an opt-out model applies, an optional technology may operate until the visitor opts out, subject to the preference-signal rule in Section 6. We do not use a pre-selected toggle to record a choice the visitor did not make.
7.4 Withdrawing and changing a choice
The Your Privacy Choices link is available in the footer of every page, before and after sign-in. A change applies going forward. Withdrawing a choice does not delete information already collected; that is handled through the rights process in the Privacy Policy.
8. Choice Records
For each choice we record: a consent identifier; the version of this Policy presented; the timestamp; the categories selected; whether the choice was given through the banner, the preference centre or an opt-out preference signal; the rule set applied; browser and device context sufficient to associate the choice with the correct session; whether a recognized opt-out preference signal was detected; and the history of later changes. Records are append-only. A later choice creates a new record rather than overwriting the earlier one.
9. Do We Sell or Share Personal Information
We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this Policy and the Privacy Policy and provide the notice, links and opt-out mechanisms applicable law requires before the change takes effect.
10. Changes
We update this Policy when the technologies we use change or when a legal requirement changes. The effective date above shows the most recent update, and prior versions remain available.
11. Language
This Policy is published in English, Russian and Spanish. The English version is the version that governs its interpretation. A translation is provided for convenience. Where a translation differs from the English version, the English version controls.
